The governor of Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, has said that the authorities are ready to evacuate families who want to move to a safer place. The statement came amid ongoing shelling of the border town.
“Already today we are ready to move you to Stary Oskol and Gubkin, where you will be in quite comfortable conditions, in warm and safe rooms. You will stay there for as long as necessary,” Gladkov said.
The latest shelling of Belgorod took place last night – at least two men were injured and more than 30 cars were damaged.
