The companies ceased operations in Russia after the outbreak of war.
Putin signed a decree transferring 100% of shares in the subsidiaries of BSH Hausgerate (Bosch and Siemens) and Ariston to the temporary management of Gazprom Domestic Systems.
After the full-scale war began, Bosch suspended operations at its plants in Samara and St. Petersburg.
The Ariston plant is located in Vsevolozhsk, Leningrad Region. The enterprise has been operating for 19 years and produces more than 600 thousand appliances a year.
“BSH Household Appliances” has two plants in Strelna near St. Petersburg. Before the war they produced more than 1 million refrigerators and washing machines a year. Production has been underway since 2007.
“Gazprom Domestic Systems” produces household appliances under the Flama, Darina, Tessa, and Lada Nova brands. The company’s website says it “is Russia’s largest manufacturer of household gas equipment.”
Earlier, Putin nationalized other foreign companies – the state got stakes in Baltika Breweries and Danone, a French yogurt maker.
