NATO is developing multiple “land corridors” to move U.S. troops and armored vehicles to the front lines in the event of a major ground war with Russia in Europe.

This is reported by The Telegraph with reference to officials.

The existing plans envision that American troops will land in Dutch ports, then they will be transported by train to Poland through Germany. But arrangements are also underway to extend routes to other ports to ensure that land communications are not severed by Russian forces.

“US soldiers will be landed at one of five ports and sent along pre-planned logistical routes to counter a possible attack by Moscow,” officials told The Telegraph.

If NATO troops, who will enter the war from the Netherlands, are hit by Russian bombardment or if ports in northern Europe are destroyed, the alliance is looking to shift its focus to ports in Italy, Greece and Turkey. Plans are also underway to move troops through ports in the Balkans, as well as through Norway, Sweden and Finland.
