Police in the Rostov region are looking for 32-year-old Artyom Bukotin on suspicion of the brutal murder of two farmers. Bukotin had previously been prosecuted several times, including for theft, robbery and molestation of minors.
The body of one farmer was found four days after he went missing in the trunk of a car in the Sal River with his throat slit and ears cut off. Later, the body of the second farmer was also found in the river.
Bukotin fought in Ukraine from September to December 2022 and from January to March 2023 and even received the Medal of Honor.
After returning from the front in November 2023, Bukotin, together with an acquaintance, had already tried to break into someone else’s apartment after a conflict by the tenants in the entranceway.
Previously, Bukotin also had problems with the law. He was tried for stealing a car in 2014. Also in 2003, a resident of the village of Zimovniki reported to the police that Bukotin (he was 11 years old at the time) forced her eight-year-old son to have anal sex.
Russian occupiers returning from Ukraine have already killed more than 50 civilians. Many of the crimes were committed by former prisoners pardoned by Putin personally for their participation in the war.
