More than 20 gas wells have been mothballed to protect them from waterlogging.
Russian company “Gazprom” was forced to shut down more than twenty gas wells due to flooding in the Orenburg region.
“Gazprom dobycha Orenburg” reported that the field in the Orenburg region produces about 10 billion cubic meters of gas and 300 thousand tons of oil annually. This is reported by the Enkorr media, citing information from the company’s internal newspaper.
Also, it is reported that in early April the Orsk refinery temporarily stopped production due to flooding, but production was resumed on April 19.
Earlier, “Forteinvest”, which owns a refinery in Russia’s Orenburg region, declared force majeure on oil product supplies due to flooding.
