Mass media learned about the strike at the factory where the “Pantsir” SAMs were assembled.
On the night of January 21 in Tula, there was an attack on the production facilities of the “Scheglovsky Val” factory, known as the place of assembly of anti-aircraft missile systems “Pantsir-S”.
According to RBC-Ukraine, a military plant was hit, and details of the consequences of the attack are being clarified. A source in the security services says that the attack was part of the “planned operation of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Intelligence”.
“Shcheglovsky Val”, located in Tula, is a machine-building plant, a key link in Russia’s defense-industrial complex. It is known from public sources that this plant produces “Pantsir-S” and “Pantsir-S1” surface-to-air missile systems designed to defend military and civilian facilities against air attacks.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian facilities have been repeatedly attacked. One such incident occurred on January 21: a drone attack in Russia’s Leningrad region caused a fire at a major gas terminal of the “Novatek” company. This company is linked to Gennady Timchenko, a friend of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
