Indonesia backs China, Nepal rescue efforts after deadly floods
Surveillance footage posted on Chinese social media shows a wall of mud and debris rushing towards the port, with people running as parked vehicles were surrounded by floodwater.
The death toll has tragically climbed to at least 469 people in Nepal, with hundreds more casualties and missing persons reported on the Tibetan side.
With another flood possible, NDRRMA urged all personnel involved in rescue and relief operations along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers, as well as anyone still in high-risk areas, to exercise extreme caution and move immediately to safer ground if danger is observed.
As the alert spread, residents began leaving in vehicles, while others climbed nearby hills to escape the potential path of a powerful flow of water and debris.
