El-Sayed spars with Jesse Watters on Fox News on immigration, Iran war: ‘Let me just answer the question’
Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed distances his campaign from Hasan Piker after the streamer’s remarks about Jewish Americans spark renewed controversy.
El-Sayed was challenged over his stated adherence to Sharia law, which was recently criticized by Vice President JD Vance, as well as previous remarks in which he linked efforts to eliminate Sharia law to White supremacy.
El-Sayed is one of several Democrat candidates this year who harnessed Piker's online megaphone to appeal to younger voters, and they appeared together at campaign events during the primary.
Wearing a suit and tie during one of his typically hours-long livestreams, Piker argued against the idea that opposing Israel is antisemitic.
