Pakistan top court orders ex-PM Imran Khan moved to hospital

Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan has welcomed the Supreme Court’s order directing a comprehensive medical examination for the former Pakistan prime minister at Shifa International Hospital.

The court issued the direction while hearing several identical petitions filed after Khan developed an eye ailment earlier this year.

His family approached the Supreme Court seeking his transfer to the private hospital.

The court also ordered authorities to ensure his weekly meetings with his family members, highlighting the severe restrictions and isolation imposed on political prisoners in the country.
