Indian billionaire Lakshmi Mittal’s Ukraine steel plant hit in Russian strike, 2 killed, 13 injured
Russia has repeatedly battered the Ukrainian power grid since its all-out invasion more than four years ago.
The strike is seen as a retaliation for a Ukrainian drone barrage that killed two people, injured 14 workers, and forced a partial halt to production after damaging core energy and blast-furnace operations.
On 17 August, Russian drones launched a large-scale attack on the territory of one of mines belonging to DTEK Group, Ukraine's largest private energy company, in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Russia, meanwhile, has continued launching missile and drone strikes against Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure.
