Powerful earthquake strikes off coast of Indonesia, tsunami warning issued

Tsunami waves measuring less than 1 metre (3 feet) were recorded in several areas.

Authorities have received no immediate reports of damage or casualties

It’s epicentre was 68km (42 miles) north-northwest of the city of Ende in East Nusa Tenggara province.

The initial jolt was followed by strong aftershocks in the same area, including one with a magnitude of 6.1.
