A report from The Washington Post that President Donald Trump secretly switched aircraft while leaving Turkey last month has raised new questions about the security threats facing the president amid escalating tensions with Iran.

Trump was publicly shown boarding an older version of Air Force One in full view of television cameras before being secretly transferred to a military aircraft using a catering container.

When reached for comment Monday night, White House communications director Steven Cheung did not dispute the Post’s story, which cited material reviewed by the Post, a U.S. official familiar with the operation and another person with knowledge of the president’s travel.
