China floods: large parts of country remain on alert as Gansu province death toll rises

Chinese authorities will launch an investigation into the floods, amid warnings of further landslides as the rainy weather continues.

The flash flood struck a scenic area in Weiyuan County, Dingxi City, on the afternoon of July 26, leaving 25 people dead and 23 injured.
