Netanyahu to meet Trump in Washington as Iran tops agenda amid rising tensions

The prime minister took off from Nevatim Air Base without the customary public announcement or accompanying press; He will likely attend late Senator Lindsey Graham's funeral in addition to meeting with Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected at the White House this week at a moment of significant tension between the longtime allies — after months of waiting for an invitation to come.

This meeting marks the eighth meeting between the two leaders since Trump returned to the Oval Office

Both leaders are facing electoral challenges in the months ahead and are expected to meet at the White House on Tuesday as their interests appear to be diverging sharply on the war with Iran.
