SpaceX launches Starship on test flight with the most advanced Starlinks

SpaceX is set to attempt the 13th test flight of its Starship rocket on Friday from its Starbase facility in south Texas, with the launch window opening at 5.45pm local time (04.15am IST Saturday) — after two setbacks in a week that pushed back what should have been a milestone for the company.

Starship lifted off from the company's Starbase facility in the U.S. state of Texas at about 5:52 p.m. Central Time.

The company, owned by Elon Musk, cited engine failure at liftoff during an aborted launch attempt last week.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX replaced six of the 33 engines on the first-stage booster after they failed to ignite last week, resulting in a last-second launch abort.
