Ukraine must ‘get the support it needs’: allies prepare for NATO summit

Kyiv intensifies strikes on Russian oil refineries

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued an urgent appeal to the U.S. and European allies, calling for more Patriot air defense missiles as Russia intensifies its aerial campaign.

Eight more were killed in the wider Kyiv region, and at least 56 people have been injured overall.

The latest attack on Monday, just before the summit, killed at least 22 people and wounded over 90 in Kyiv alone, with Zelenskyy admitting a lack of PAC-3 interceptors meant Ukraine did not shoot down even one of 20 ballistic missiles launched at it.
