Erling Haaland nets winner as Norway wins FIFA World Cup knockout game for 1st time, beating Ivory Coast

The 2026 FIFA World Cup knockout stage rolls on with another action-packed day from the Round of 32.

Norway, playing at their first finals since 1998, escaped their group by thrashing Iraq and winning a thriller with Senegal.

Norway beat Iraq 4-1 in their first match, beat Senegal 3-2 in their second match, and lost to France 1-4 in their third match.

After long periods in their own half to start the match, Norway broke the deadlock with a strike from Antonio Nusa that curled into the far corner.
