Moscow shoots down more than 80 drones as Russian attacks kill six in Ukraine
Moscow airports temporarily suspended flights on Monday morning after local authorities reported that dozens of Ukrainian drones were targeting the capital, just days after the city faced its largest air raid since the start of the war.
Following an apparent Ukrainian hack on Sunday evening, dozens of messages reading simply “MOSCOW WILL BURN” appeared on one of Sobyanin’s personal Telegram channels, along with a link to a campaign raising funds to buy drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Kyiv has sent drones into Russia in retaliation for Moscow bombing its cities, although Sobyanin did not specify that the drones were from Ukraine.
Three people have been injured in a Russian drone attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia on the morning of 22 June, while a woman is trapped inside a house that caught fire.
