Canada imposes sanctions on Russia’s shadow fleet, energy revenues;Moscow retaliates with travel bans
Carney made the announcement during a meeting at the G7 summit with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The package will target 162 individuals, entities and vessels — all assets of the Russian war machine.
Canada has imposed restrictions on over 3,400 individuals and entities and more than 600 vessels this year in an effort to hold Russia accountable for its aggression against Ukraine.
