Judge Orders Trump’s Name Be Removed From Kennedy Center
U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper found the center’s board vote to shutter the facility for two years while repairs are carried out was the result of an “ill-informed and seemingly preordained decision.”
US district judge Christopher Cooper in Washington directed the Trump administration to take down all physical signage bearing Trump’s name and to eliminate any references to a “Trump Kennedy Center” from official materials within 14 days.
The order also does not block the board from closing the center should it “come to this decision anew after independently balancing its multiple obligations to the Center in a prudent fashion.”
