Strait of Hormuz has to be open 'one way or the other': Rubio after US strikes on Iran
The U.S. military carried out strikes in southern Iran against targets including mine-laying boats and missile launch sites.
Despite a ceasefire in place since early April, US Central Command said in a statement on Monday it had carried out fresh strikes designed “to protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces.”
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the Strait of Hormuz will be open ‘one way or another.’ Speaking to reporters while flying from Jaipur to New Delhi on the final leg of a four-day visit to India, he called the restrictions on the key waterway ‘unacceptable’ and ‘illegal.’
