Pep Guardiola to leave Manchester City after trophy-laden decade

The 31-year-old City captain will leave the Etihad Stadium after nine trophy-laden years when his contract expires at the end of the current season.

Michael Carrick has been appointed the new permanent head coach of Manchester United.

Carrick was appointed in January on an interim basis following the sacking of Ruben Amorim but has overseen a sensational change in fortunes, guiding the club up the table to secure Champions League qualification.

He’s won a total of 17 major trophies at the Etihad, including six league titles, one Champions League and one Club World Cup.
