Trump Invites Xi to Visit White House

The more than 600-year-old Temple of Heaven in Beijing provided a symbolic setting on Thursday for President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump as they posed for photos at the site after their closely watched talks earlier in the day.

Donald Trump and Xi Jinping toasted each other during a state banquet in Beijing attended by executives including Elon Musk, Tim Cook and Jensen Huang following high-level China-US talks, where Trump also invited Xi to visit the White House in September.

Trump’s visit was celebrated with a state banquet, though it was not quite as lavish as the one he enjoyed in the UK last year
