The drones of the Ukrainian State Security Service (GUR) have struck the production facilities of the state-owned enterprise of the Russian defense complex “Bazalt” in Tula. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing sources in the security services. The attack was carried out on the night of May 16.
“Bazalt” is one of Russia’s key defense enterprises, specializing in developing and supplying weapons and ammunition for the ground forces, air force, and navy. Due to the war in Donbas and the full-scale invasion, the “Bazalt” enterprise was subjected to international sanctions by all EU countries, the USA, and other states.
On the night of 12 May, the GUR of Ukraine attacked three Russian facilities. Earlier it was reported that two Russian MiG-31 fighter-interceptors were destroyed as a result of the attack on the Belbek airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. The S-400 system was also seriously damaged.
