The bodies of the young people were found near a shopping center.
The attack took place in the Bavarian city of Murnau. The Russian stabbed his victims. A 36-year-old man died from severe stab wounds on the spot, while a 23-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries from the stabbing, where he later died, according to Deutsche Welle.
A suspect emerged from the crime scene, but was soon apprehended by the police. On April 28, the 57-year-old Russian is due to appear before an investigating judge in an administrative court. The police are currently establishing the motive for the murder; whether the victims knew the attacker is still unknown.
“We are still at the very beginning of the investigation. The exact course of events, background, and motives are now the basis of the criminal investigation,” said Daniel Katz, a speaker for the regional police department.
Police are looking for witnesses to the incident and other materials that could help the investigation. Let us remind you that on February 11, the Kyiv Basketball Federation reported that on the evening of February 10 in the German city of Oberhausen, a 17-year-old Ukrainian basketball player, player of the Düsseldorf youth team ART Giants Vladimir Ermakov, died during a knife attack.
