According to Russian security services, the attackers were planning to cross the border and enter Ukraine
The terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall, which took place in the Moscow Region, is gaining new details. Russia is already claiming that the terrorists are linked to Ukraine.
RIA Novosti reports that the criminals allegedly planned to leave for Ukraine after committing the crime and had the necessary contacts on the Ukrainian side for this purpose.
“After committing the terrorist attack, the criminals intended to cross the border between Russia and Ukraine had appropriate contacts on the Ukrainian side,” the propagandists write, citing the FSB.
The FSB also claims that the attackers prepared a cache in advance, where they stored the weapons used in the attack.
In its turn, the Ukrainian military intelligence service said that the terrorist attack in Moscow was planned by the Kremlin’s special services to discredit the free world, including Ukraine.
The West has warned of the possibility of terrorist attacks in Russia, with Western media pointing to the involvement of Islamic State militants in the carnage.
