The adopted resolution includes an appeal to the Federation Council and the State Duma, but only asking for help in the conditions of “economic blockade by Moldova”. “Moldova has actually unleashed an economic war against Transnistria, deliberately creating prerequisites for a multimillion-dollar budget deficit,” the document reads.
The local deputies also appealed to the OSCE, the CIS, the European Parliament, the ICRC and the UN Secretary General with a call to “influence the Moldovan leadership to return to an adequate dialog”
The declaration was adopted by the so-called Congress of Deputies.
