After debating a bill on financial aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, the US House of Representatives went on recess until February 28. The bill remained unaccepted by the congressmen.
According to Voice of America, the House of Representatives will not resume consideration until late February.
Before the recess, congressmen debated whether to vote for the document in its current form, as agreed to by the Senate or to amend it.
The US president criticized the decision of lawmakers to go on recess. In his Twitter account (X), he emphasized that the refusal to vote for the bailout bill “will not be forgotten.”
“The failure to support Ukraine at this critical moment will never be forgotten,” Biden wrote.
On Tuesday, February 13, the US Senate approved the bill on providing financial aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. Now it should be considered and supported by the House of Representatives.
