The Russian military confirmed the advance in the Avdiivka neighborhood amid active fighting.
According to ISW, published geolocation data shows that the occupiers advanced along Zheleznodorozhny Lane in the north of Avdiivka and east of Nevelskoye (towards the southwest of Avdiivka).
Russian “war correspondents” claim that the occupants moved along Timiryazev and Selkhoztechnika streets in the north of Avdiivka, as well as near Pervomayskoye. ISW analysts note the lack of visual evidence of this.
Positional fighting is reported to continue in several directions:
– Northwest of Avdiivka in the area of Novokalinovoye and Novobakhmutovka;
– In the city of Avdiivka itself;
– West of Avdiivka near the settlements of Tonenkoye and Severnoye;
– Southwest of Avdiivka near Pervomayskoye and Nevelskoye.
According to the Russians’ statements, they are continuing their efforts to cut off the Ukrainian forces’ main ground line of communication with Avdiivka.
In turn, the commander of the Tavricheskiy group of the AFU, Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskiy, reported that the occupants are increasingly using groups of armored vehicles during the assault of infantry units.
