A Russian A-50 aircraft, equipped with a long-range radar detection system, landed at an airfield in Sochi shortly after a similar aircraft was destroyed by Ukraine.
Observers recorded the landing of a Russian A-50 aircraft at a civilian airfield in Sochi. Reports of the landing were published with a delay, as reported by one of the Telegram channels. The delay in publication was attributed to concerns for the safety of those who provided the photographic material.
“Our eyes see everything: The civilian airfield in Sochi is now home to a Russian A-50 airborne radar plane. The same as the one that was shot down over the Sea of Azov,” the Telegram channel states.
According to the authors of the post, the data about the Russian plane was passed to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“In this regard, the airfield in Sochi turns into a legitimate military target for the Ukrainian armed forces. Tourists and business travelers should take note,” the statement said.
On January 14, in the area known as the “Azov Triangle,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a Russian A-50 airplane of long-range radar detection at an estimated cost of up to $500 million. The following morning, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi confirmed the destruction of the aircraft.
