This is the opinion of BILD columnist Julian Röpke. The reason for this was the decline in Western support: the allies’ aid commitments have decreased by almost 90% compared to the same period in 2022.
In the changed conditions, the AFU changed its strategy: in just a few months they successfully converted foreign artillery shells into their own kamikaze drones.
Also, guerrilla attacks by Ukrainian special forces have been successfully used in the occupied territories. In addition, Ukraine has moved from eliminating only the enemy’s military targets to destroying Russian infrastructure that serves both the civilian population and the military-industrial complex, Röpke notes.
