Charles III will be hospitalized next week for routine prostate treatment, the BBC reports with reference to Buckingham Palace. Public appearances of the king will be postponed for the period of hospitalization.
Today Buckingham Palace also announced the hospitalization of 42-year-old Princess Catherine of Wales. She underwent a planned abdominal surgery. According to the palace, she will remain in hospital for another 10-14 days and is “unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter”.
