In the summer of 2023, sanctioned Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov filed a lawsuit with the German Federal Constitutional Court over searches on his yacht Dilbar. The businessman considered the searches to be an attack on human dignity and a violation of the right to inviolability of the home.
The court recognized Usmanov’s complaint as “deliberately inadmissible” and noted that the applicant had not exhausted all available legal remedies.
