Citizens of the partially recognized Republic of Kosovo from January 1 received the right of visa-free entry to the Schengen zone – it unites almost all the countries of the European Union and several other states.
The Council of the European Union decided to introduce a visa-free travel with Kosovo in March 2023. A solemn ceremony was held at Pristina airport. Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that “great injustice” had come to an end.
