Apple got an estimated $2.2 billion tariff refund last quarter.

Donald Trump's administration has paid back $100bn (£78bn) in "Liberation Day" tariff refunds to businesses through US customs officials.

The figure, reported Tuesday in a filing in the U.S. Court of International Trade, represents about 60% of the roughly $166 billion the government says it raked in from the sweeping tariffs Trump imposed in 2025 using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, or IEEPA.

This tariff framework has since been largely rebuilt, however, with the president now imposing sweeping, double-digit levies on dozens of trading partners due to what the administration alleges are insufficient efforts to combat “forced labor” in their supply chains.
