TalkTV presenter Alex Phillips became visibly emotional on air as she watched footage of violent clashes after around 60,000 migrants crossed the border between Morocco and Spain on July 30.
More than 60,000 reached Ceuta, but most were returned to Fnideq
Driven by hunger, exhaustion and hostility, migrants who swam or climbed over fences to enter Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta were returning home on Saturday, Reuters reported.
The meeting comes after 22 EU member states signed a joint letter calling for coordinated action and stronger protection of the bloc's external borders after around 60,000 migrants crossed into Ceuta from neighboring Morocco.
